Excellence in Education Award
Congratulations to the Mason Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) Excellence in Education award winner Lauren Fusilier!
Lauren is a special education teacher who has recently taken on the role of the PreK-12 Special Education Teacher Consultant/Autism Consultant for the district. She is an advocate for all children in the district and provides professional development to staff while supporting teams in a professional, organized and enthusiastic manner! Her nominators, Krista Voss and Angie Vandecar said she is, “an exemplar in the field of education and a true leader in the MPS district and beyond.”
Lauren will be honored with the other MACC awardees at a ceremony in March.

March 11-15, MPS hosted the first, district-wide Inclusion Week! During the week, students, staff, and even therapy dogs, Sully and Lewis, participated in learning opportunities, special events, activities and theme days throughout the week.
