Nut Restricted Classroom Alert

North Aurelius has nut restricted classrooms. Please, do not send any peanut or tree nut containing products for your child to eat during snack in the classroom. Since lunch is eaten in the cafeteria, your child may bring peanut butter, peanuts, or other nut products for lunch. We appreciate your support.

First Day of School- August 26, 2026

Wednesday, August 26, 2026, is the first day of school for all students. The first day is a half day following the schedule below. We can't wait to welcome students back for a great school year! 

The half day schedule is:

  • Harvey Education Center: 8:40 AM - 12:07 PM
  • Alaiedon, North Aurelius and Steele Elementary Schools: 8:40 AM - 12:07 PM
  • Mason Middle School: 7:40 - 11 AM
  • Mason High School: 7:40 - 11 AM

Back-to-School Information in the Mason Minute

The first issue of the Mason Minute for the 2026-27 school year is full of information and updates for back-to-school. Please check the newsletter for answers to questions you may have about the new school year. 

Back to School Open Houses

Open Houses will be held at each building on Monday, August 24, 2026. Please see the times below for each Open House. 

  • Mason Middle School: 4 -5 PM
  • Mason High School: 5 - 6 PM
  • Harvey Education Center: 5 - 6 PM (Kindergarten, Early Learning, Preschool and Early Childhood Special Education)
  • Alaiedon Elementary: 6 PM
  • North Aurelius Elementary: 6 PM
  • Steele Elementary: 6 PM

Harvey Education Centre will host an Open House for Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) PreK for All students on Thursday, September 3. Families will receive additional information from their child's teacher via email.

Fourth Grade

These Items are recommendations of helpful items for class. NONE OF THESE MATERIALS ARE REQUIRED TO BE PURCHASED. We will supply the materials that your child needs each day. Sometimes students prefer to have their own materials for use. Please don't send any expensive headphones in (Airpods, Beats, etc) as we are unable to replace them if they are lost or broken.

General Recommended Supplies

  • Pencils (more than you think they need)
  • Backpack
  • Water bottle
  • Markers/ colored pencils/ crayons- your choice
  • Dry erase markers (black only please)
  • Glue Sticks- 4 or more
  • Scissors (1 pair)
  • Pencil pouch or case
  • Headphones (if you want your own pair)
  • 1 red folder for unfinished work
    Donations of the following are greatly appreciated:

Fifth Grade

  • Pencils, Replacement Lead (if using mechanical pencils) since we only provide non-mechanical.

  • Headphones or Ear Buds. Both should be corded. Bluetooth is fine but not as dependable.

  • Box of Colored Pencils
  • Box of Crayons
