Elementary Conferences Rescheduled
Elementary school parent-teacher conferences originally scheduled for February 14 have been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
Due to school being canceled at Mason Public Schools this past Tuesday, elementary school parent-teacher conferences originally scheduled for February 14 have been rescheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
As a result, Tuesday, February 21, 2023, will be a half-day of school at our four elementary buildings.
Mason Middle School and Mason High School will have their normal full-day schedules.
Parent-teacher conferences will be held virtually in the evening on February 21 as previously scheduled, using the appointments that were originally planned. The conference scheduler will not be reopened.
If parents/guardians cannot attend their rescheduled conferences and would still like to meet with their child’s teacher, they are asked to reach out directly to the teacher to find a time to talk. We understand that this may be an inconvenience for families and thank all of you for accommodating this important make-up date.
Mason Public Schools (MPS) Board of Education (BOE) has selected Matt Hall to fill the vacant BOE position. Four individuals, including Hall, were interviewed for the position which will serve through the remainder of the current term and through the next regular school election cycle, ending in 2028.
Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Erica Francis will serve as the assistant principal at Mason Middle School (MMS). A familiar face around the district, she has taught math at MMS for more than 20 years and brings a wealth of experience along with a reputation for building strong, positive relationships with students.
