MMS Morning Drop Off Reminders
Middle School Drop Off Reminders

Family members who drop off students at Mason Middle School (MMS) are reminded of the drop off procedures designed to help make morning drop off as smooth as possible. Please review and share the reminders below.

MMS Drop Off Reminders:

  • When dropping students off in the north parking lot, drivers should always pull forward as far as they can in the drop off lane. Please look for Mr. Berryhill in the morning as he is positioned where people should pull up to in the morning for drop off.
  • DO NOT DROP OFF RIGHT AT THE CAFETERIA DOORS. The students will get dropped off further onto campus and then use the sidewalks to walk back to the cafeteria for entry to the building.
  • Vehicles should always remain in the drop off line. Please do not pull over against the sidewalk. This causes drivers to pull around you and then it slows the process down.
  • Please have your middle schoolers gather their personal items and get ready prior to entering the parking lot. When they get to the drop off area, it should help in quickly and safely exiting the vehicle. We recognize that our students have instruments and athletic gear to grab as well, but we just want to encourage everyone to be as ready as possible recognizing that the entire process counts on each of us to be prepared.
  • When exiting the parking lot, please do not cut through the parking spaces. Utilize the traffic lanes at the parking lot island and far end of the parking lot to make a complete oval and exit the parking lot.
  • At morning drop off, all vehicles should make a right turn to exit the parking lots. This makes the process more efficient and allow drivers to get away from the congestion of the drop off area on Temple St. to proceed to their destinations. Please advise any high school siblings who drop off at MMS in the morning that their fastest way to Mason High School is by making a right out of the parking lot and choosing a route away from the middle school rather than turning left down Temple St.
  • The south parking lot is available for drop off and is much less congested. If you choose to drop off in the south parking lot, the students may wait outside the main entrance in our courtyard until the bell rings at 7:25 AM and the entrance opens.
