Sen. Anthony Visits North Aurelius Elementary
North Aurelius Elementary had a very special guest reader this week when State Senator Sarah Anthony stopped by to celebrate March Is Reading Month!
Senator Anthony shared her favorite book, "Grace for President", along with a powerful message for students: it's your smarts, your skills, and your hard work that make you the right person for the job — not what you look like, where you come from or who your parents are.
Students had the opportunity to ask questions and hear stories from Senator Anthony's career in Michigan politics. She also spoke about the power of reading and challenged every student to read throughout March Is Reading Month and to keep reading all year long!
