New Mason Middle School Assistant Principal
Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Erica Francis will serve as the assistant principal at Mason Middle School (MMS). A familiar face around the district, she has taught math at MMS for more than 20 years and brings a wealth of experience along with a reputation for building strong, positive relationships with students.
Mrs. Francis previously served as the MMS acting administrator on numerous occasions in the absence of Mr. Berryhill and Mrs. Hilker-Loch. That experience, along with her strong leadership skills and growth mindset, has prepared her well for this next chapter. She is looking forward to welcoming students back next week!

Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Mason Public Schools will offer the My Ride K-12 app to families. This is a free app designed to allow families access to their student’s transportation information and make communication with families faster and easier.
Open Houses will be held at each building on Monday, August 24, 2026. Please see the times below for each Open House.
- Mason Middle School: 4 -5 PM
- Mason High School: 5 - 6 PM
- Harvey Education Center: 5 - 6 PM (Kindergarten, Early Learning, Preschool and Early Childhood Special Education)
- Alaiedon Elementary: 6 PM
- North Aurelius Elementary: 6 PM
- Steele Elementary: 6 PM
Harvey Education Centre will host an Open House for Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) PreK for All students on Thursday, September 3. Families will receive additional information from their child's teacher via email.
