Sixth Grade Jitters Day- August 13
Incoming sixth grade students are invited to Mason Middle School Jitters Day on Wednesday, August 13 following the schedule below.
Student can view their schedule in Skyward or pick up a paper copy at Jitters Day. Students will have the chance to walk through the building, find their classes, find their locker and practice the combination.
- Student last name A-H- 9:30-10:30 a.m.
- Student last name I-R- 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Student last name S-Z- 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Mason High School and Mason Middle School were recognized last week for earning designations as National Unified Champion Schools by Special Olympics Michigan! Of the more than 600 Unified Champion Schools in the state, only 27 have earned this highest designation by the Special Olympics.
Five Mason Middle School (MMS) 8th graders were honored for their submissions to the Growing Libraries with Representation project. This project was presented by the Aspiring Educators of Michigan (AEM), a group supported by the Michigan Education Association to help future teachers. Congratulations to the winners, Mckelvy Brown, Miriam Omans, Sophia Le, Hayven Jayne and Maria Sutberry!
An updated list of Second Trimester Teacher Office Hours is now available. The primary purpose of office hours is to give students and families multiple, timely opportunities to communicate with teachers about academic and behavioral progress, replacing the underutilized traditional Parent/Teacher Conferences. During office hours, teachers, students, and/or parents can meet in person, via Microsoft Teams, or by telephone.
This school year, Mason Middle School and Mason High School will be taking part in a new pilot program replacing traditional Parent/Teacher Conferences with teacher office hours.
