Mason Middle School Pauses In-Person Instruction

Student and staff safety is the top priority for Mason Public Schools. We have seen an increase in COVID-19 exposure and positive cases in the past week at Mason Middle School.

Mason Middle School currently has enough positive cases of COVID-19 where remaining open is a concern. Out of an abundance of caution, Mason Middle School will be closed on Thursday, November 4 and Friday, November 5. Remote instruction will not occur during this time. Students enrolled in Bulldog Virtual Academy will continue as normal.

All Middle School before and after school activities, including athletics, robotics, and jazz band, are cancelled for Thursday, November 4 through Sunday, November 7.

We ask that all staff and students continue to follow the safety protocols in place to mitigate the possibility of any transmission in our buildings, including:

  • Stay home if sick
  • Wear a mask
  • Complete the health screening prior to coming to school/work
  • Practice social distancing whenever possible
  • Wash your hands whenever possible
  • Vaccinate if possible

We want to assure you that we are taking every precaution possible and care about the health of our staff and students. We want to extend our appreciation to the staff, students and families who have demonstrated tremendous commitment to education during this time.

Thank you for your support,

Mason Public Schools
