Remote day on Tuesday, February 9

In anticipation of a majority of Mason staff receiving their second COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, February 8, all students will learn remotely on Tuesday, February 9. This will allow us to plan for heightened staff illness as many people have reported side effects after receiving the second vaccine causing concern over the ability to properly staff buildings for in-person instruction. Your child’s teacher will communicate with you regarding lessons for the day.

On February 9, special education basic classrooms will be remote and Learning Labs and Child Development Services at Harvey Education Center will be closed. All students can return to their normal schedules on Wednesday, February 10.

This will not impact elementary or middle school conferences. Those will continue as planned. Drive-thru meal pick-up will not take place on Tuesday evening. Families can pick-up extra meals this Thursday.

Thank you for your understanding as we work through this.
