Mason Public Schools Families,
The first day of school is quickly approaching and we are looking forward to starting the year off strong. Below is information regarding a few areas.
As of Monday, August 17 at 5:00 PM, each student can access their schedule in Skyward for the coming year. If you do not see this information or have any questions, please contact our technology department at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Last week, we shared general information regarding what the distance learning model will look like for students. If you haven’t already, please review this information as we have shared specifics on what you can expect as a parent/guardian of a Mason Public Schools (MPS) student.
MPS has enough devices to supply each student with a Chromebook. For virtual lessons, students will need a district-issued Chromebook and not a family computer or tablet. This is so teachers and our technology support team can better support students using the same type of device and to administer required testing. If your child does not already have a district-issued Chromebook, you will be able to pick one up this Friday, August 21st. More information on the location and the time will be sent this week from building principals.
Supply Lists for elementary and middle school are located on the enrollment page of the district website. Please take a minute to visit this page. While we fully intend to return to an in-person model at some point, the supply lists include some of those items as well as those that will be used during distance learning. We thought it would be important to include everything so families could prepare.
The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page of the district website has been updated as of last Friday. We will continue to add information to it as needed. This page has specifics on attendance, electives, food service and more.
Open houses, virtual tours or orientations will be happening at the building level. Watch for more information regarding the start of the school-year from your building principal.
Thank you for your continued support as we work through distance learning to start the year. We are looking forward to a great 2020-21 school year!
