New Mason Public Schools Buses

Mason, MI - On Monday, November 5th, Mason Public Schools Board of Education approved bids to install video camera systems and stop arm cameras on all of the district buses. The district purchased new buses thissummer which have this technology installed. The district’s existing buses, which are not currently equipped will have this technologyinstalled in the next month. As there has been significant growth in robotics within Mason Public Schools, the district has announced the investment in a dedicated Robotics Center for student use. The Robotics Center will be located at Mason High School and will be available for use by the high school robotics club, the Tractor Technicians, the middle school robotics club, the Tractor Technicians in Training as well as elementary clubs.

At the National FFA Convention & Expo last week, it was announced that former Mason student, Adrian Schunk has been elected by delegates to serve as the Vice President of the National FFA Eastern Region. Adrian Schunk was an active member of the Mason FFA chapter prior to graduation. She is now a communications major at Michigan State University.

Mason Public Schools Upgrades Buses with Technology and Safety Measures

The Michigan Department of Education has recently published the annual Bulletin 1014. In this report, Mason Public Schools has maintained a ranking for low total business and administrative costs per student compared to other Michigan districts for the years ending June 30, 2015, 2016 and 2017. For the last three fiscal years, Mason Public Schools has been ranked in the lowest 8% of all school districts in the state, for the lowest business and administrative cost per student.
